RECENT ACTIVITIES
- "Integrative Health Studies: The Development of a new Interdisciplinary
Minor." at Ithaca College
Poster Session presented at the Annual Conference of the Association
of Schools of Allied Health Professions, San Diego, CA October
9, 2002.
- Chair, Integrative Health Studies Steering Committee
Led group of 10 faculty in the development of a new minor in Integrative
Health Studies to be offered through the Department of health
Policy Studies
- Ithaca College London Sabbatic Scholar, Spring, 2001
Pursued dual research interests in Integrative Health Care and
International Financing of Health Care in Aging, taught a course
at the Ithaca College London Center, and began research in Germany
on the History of Medicine.
- Submitted paper on clinical evaluation and assessment of results
for presentation to the Annual Convention of the National Guild
of Hypnotists in August, 2002.
- Currently developing a grant proposal for submission to the
National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine of
the National Institutes of Health to study the effects of hypnosis
on the healing of athletic injuries.
- Currently developing two new courses, one on the History of
Medicine and the other on International Perspectives on Health
Care and Aging.
- Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Ithaca Integrative
Community Wellness Center, Inc.
