Tiffany Casale, President
Tiffany, a TV-R major (with a Video Production concentration and an International Business minor) from Mohawk, NY, is excited about her senior year in Ithaca. Beyond being class president, Tiffany is a Producer/Director on ICTV, is active in Habitat for Humanity, and works as a Student Manager for on-campus catering. After graduation she hope to spend the summer working as a camp program director, moving on to either Washington D.C., New York City, or Boston, where she will search for a position in media relations with a major sports organization. Her dream job is working as the Special Events and Promotions Director for the New York Yankees.
Some interesting facts about Tiffany are that she was the 2002 New York State Maple Queen, worked at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino, and that she made a cross-country road trip from Ithaca to Los Angeles — and back two months later! She’s had internships with GRB Entertainment, SGP Media, and was part of the group that went to Torino in 2006 for the Winter Olympic Games. She loves Chocolate Frozen Yogurt with Cookie Dough mixed in, The Boatyard Grill, anything that involves being outside, sports — especially tennis, baseball — she’s probably the biggest Yankee fan ever, cooking really awesome things, and napping in her hammock. Her hobbies include scrapbooking, photography, and gardening, and she’s going to miss the view of Cayuga Lake, the changing seasons, the uniqueness of the people and the area, and the Farmers Market.
Ben Stockwell, Vice President
Ben, a Sport Media major with minors in Marketing and Writing, is from Woodstock, VT, right near Killington. He loves playing sports no matter what it is, as long as it provides some competition and good exercise. He’s a big fan of video games too, both Madden, Star Wars Battlefront and of course Mario Kart. Hanging out with my roommates has to be a great pastime as well. On campus, Ben is a Campus Center Dining Hall manager, 3 time intramural football champion, has been involved with Sports radio on WICB and VIC, is a Sunday school teacher at Bethel Grove Bible church, and also interns with Cornell Sports Information. After graduation, he’s looking to get a job in a college working in the sports information or sports communication office — Teach for America is an option too for him.
Ben’s favorite ice cream is moose tracks with Ben and Jerry’s Phish food is a close second; his favorite color is blue, and his favorite restaurant is Taco Bell (“There’s nothing better than a grilled stuffed burrito to get the study juices going”) with Sammy as a close second. He’ll miss the people that have made his college experience so awesome — he’s met the coolest people here and can’t imagine leaving his roommates who have provided some of the funniest moments in his life. He’s looking to move back to New England once school is over because of his love for the area, and misses being so far from home, but will go wherever a job may take him.
Jeff Penoyer, Secretary
Jeff, son of an Alumni and originally from Cortland, NY, is proud to be a bomber and Senior Class Secretary. He is a Health Policy Studies major with a Minor in Health Services Administration. Jeffrey is not only the 2008 Class Secretary, and the Vice President of Ithaca College Association for Healthcare Professionals, but he is also an Office Assistant in the Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs Office. Jeffrey has held two internships while at Ithaca including an Administrative Intern at Cortland Regional Medical Center and a Legislative Intern at Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's Office. After graduation he is planning to get a Masters in Health Administration or Public Administration. He hopes to eventually move to New York City for a few years. Jeff's dream job would most likely be working as an administrator overseeing a hospital or working with his favorite politician in the White House (Go Hillary!).
One interesting fact about Jeffrey is that he has completed a half Marathon. Other interesting facts include: Jeffrey's freshman year dorm was Clarke, his favorite ice cream is Mint Chocolate Chip, his favorite restaurant in Ithaca is The Souvlaki House. Jeff doesn't only enjoy long walks on the beach and romantic dinners but he likes to stay fit, watch lacrosse, meet new people, travel, watch movies, see Broadway Shows, and hang out with family and friends. When Jeff leaves the Ithaca area, he will miss the variety of culture, arts and restaurants that the Ithaca area offers and the Fall Season.
Brendan Long, Treasurer
Brendan is from Auburn, NY, not too far from Ithaca. He’s majoring in Sport Management with a Minor in Economics. He’s a member of the Baseball team and also involved in many different groups on campus, including three Honor societies: The Oracle Honor Society, Sigma Iota Epsilon for management and Omicron Delta Epsilon for economics. This summer, he completed his internship for Sport Management when he spent two months in the Dominican Republic working for the New York Yankees at their baseball academy, learning how Latin American players are scouted and how Latin baseball academies are run.
After graduation, he plans on going to graduate school to pursue a Doctoral Degree in Economics from either the University of North Carolina or Arizona State University. His dream job is to be the General Manager for a Major League Baseball Franchise.
