Purpose: To make an automatic presentation to promote awareness of a national health-related or physical activity-related observance. Assignment: To create a slide show using Powerpoint that will be suitable for display on a plasma screen. The show will create awareness of a national health observance. The show should be between 4-5 slides, fully automated, and custom animated. It should be graphic-rich. It should loop and play continuously. It should contain appropriate music that adds to the overall message. It should include a title slide with the title of your health observance, images that enhance your presentation, fun or trivia facts if appropriate, resources for help if appropriate, and effects that will keep the viewer interested in viewing your presentation to the end. Use Microsoft Office Online to secure an appropriate background for your slide or make your own. Do not use a standard template that comes with Powerpoint. First come first serve; no duplication allowed.
Evaluation : You will be evaluated using the generic scoring rubric. Presentations that are engaging, presented on a unique background, statistically accurate, image-rich, and animated in interesting ways will receive the highest grades. You will present your health observance slides to the class, providing an introduction to the topic and narration. Order of presentations will be determined by the month selected. For example, if your national health observance falls in March, your presentation will be made during March. |
