E-News Assignment

The purpose of this assignment is to use Publisher to create an electronic newsletter. You will need to select a target audience - employees, students, clients., athletes, community members, etc.

Access Publisher and select E-mail as the publication type.

Select newsletter as your publication type.

Your newsletter should contain 1 feature or key story of about 225-250 words. This is your lead story. You should then have 2 other stories, of about 100-125 words. Each story should be somewhat different yet of interest to your target audience. For example, if my target audience was the public interested in health, I might have a story on the relation of poverty to health, new information about the official poverty level, and new programs designed to help people without insurance.

Base your stories on contemporary events -- see the news for some ideas. NY Times, USA Today, or the CDC.gov are some sources of contemporary news.

Don't hesitate to delete items you don't need (for example, the link to Details) and expand text boxes as needed. Be sure to adjust the paper length to the correct size.

When you have completed this assignment, go to Blackboard, and then to the Assignments page. Upload your .pdf copy of your work.
