Requirements
- Personalized, coordinated colors for all elements: background, text, and links. Readability is the key! A higher grade will be awarded for the use of a background image on your page.
- A logo or graphic header at the top of the page, with the background transparent so that it looks integrated within the page. Be sure it is transparent for that professional look. This does not count as an image.
- Images: at least eight different images that are placed appropriately on the page. A higher grade will be awarded for using a clickable image, an animated image, and a thumbnail image.
- A horizontal rule or divider to separate parts of the text. The use of an image as a bar would receive more credit than a horizontal rule tag. A bar that is an image will count toward the total rquired images.
- Formatted features should be included in your page - changes in heading size, change in font size and font color, use of different heading sizes, centering, bolding, and italics. Remember, however, the overall look should be coordinated and cohesive, contributing to readability. Be consistent in your use of colors for headings, the incorporation of italics, etc.
- Table - a minimum of five tables, either with or without a border, to organize your information on your page.
- Buttons to navigate to your information page, your blog, your eportfolio, and other sites of interest. All buttons should be consistent in the use of color, fonts, size. Higher grade awarded for rollover buttons. These buttons do not count as a clickable image. Be sure to make all your buttons at once or write down the site where you created them, the size, color codes, etc. so that all your buttons are consistent.
- Links: at least 15 links are needed, with 10 of the links integrated within the text. Five of the links should be to sites of professional interest (e.g., AAHPERD). One of the links must be to your hometown, high school, college, or to the weather page city closest to your home town.
- There should be an ordered (numbered) or an unordered (bulleted) list. The list should be created using the Dreamweaver function.
- There should be a Mail to form to receive mail
- Information on the author of the page and the date that the page was last updated.
- Integrated: all the elements flow smoothly together. You will need to experiment with the layout. Think carefully about what you learned about good and bad web design. Make sure that your layout moves across the page rather then down the page vertically.
