SELECTED COURSES
  • Keyboard Musicianship
  • Digital Sound Production
  • Advanced Microphone Techniques
  • Introduction to Electroacoustic Music

In our program, in addition to taking core courses that focus on legacy recording techniques, you will be trained in the latest recording and mixing methods in our newly refurbished, state-of-the-art recording facilities.

To complement your studies, you will take courses in audio production at the Roy H. Park School of Communications, as well as courses in theater sound, physics and computer science at the School of Humanities and Sciences.

Your skills will be honed and developed over four years, culminating in an internship in the field in your senior year. You will also create a senior project, acting as producer, recording and mixing engineer and mastering engineer. This project portfolio piece will illustrate that you are an entry-level audio professional who not only has a grasp on the audio complement, but who is also a schooled musician.
