As a planned studies major at Ithaca, Charity Banfield '00 focused on international relations in Africa and Latin America and worked with the Office of Multicultural Affairs to create a mentoring program for girls at Ithaca High School. Now rather than being overwhelmed by the world's social troubles, she acts to remedy them -- even scaling Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise awareness of HIV-AIDS.
