Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get in?
At Ithaca College, we believe that the strongest campus community is created by individuals who can bring with them a unique perspective. We look for students with all different backgrounds, geographies, and academic interests. So don’t make any assumptions—we certainly won’t. If you’re interested in IC, the best way to find out if you can get in is to talk to us!
Your application shows us who you are on paper—the numbers, statistics, and rankings—but we know you are so much more than that. So tell us about yourself. Give the office of admission a call to speak to an admission counselor, or better yet: plan a visit to meet with us in person. Let us know what you want to get out of your education, who you want to become, and how you’d like us to help you get ready. That way, not only will we know you’re really interested in coming to IC, we will get to know you.
Every time you talk to us, meet with an admission counselor, or visit, we call that demonstrated engagement. To us, that means you aren’t afraid to go after what you want, to get involved, and to learn. The students who are most successful at IC are those who are engaged, both in class and in the community. There’s no better day than today to become engaged and start your path with Ithaca College!
