To apply for financial aid, you must 

• Have a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate
• Enroll at least half-time and be working toward a degree or certificate
• Be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen
• Have a valid Social Security number
• Maintain a satisfactory grade point average and academic progress in college
• Sign a promissory note (for loans)
• Register with the Selective Service, if required
• Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
• Complete the CSS Profile Application
