Minors and Areas of Emphasis

The study of health care management at Ithaca College prepares students with a unique blend of health policy, health promotion, and business classes.  

Students are required to minor in either business or management in the School of Business.  Examples of classes in these minors include

• Legal Environment of Business
• Financial Accounting
• Business Finance
• Principles of Marketing
• Organizational Behavior & Management

Students in health care management are also afforded the possibility of pursuing a long-term care emphasis. Examples of classes in this option include

• Sociology of Aging
• Health Promotion for the Older Adult
• The Long Term Care System
• Aging Policies and Programs
