Internships
A degree in Health Policy Studies requires one four credit internship usually taken in the summer between the junior and senior years. The internship is intended to be a full-time, supervised, intensive and well planned experience. Students will have the opportunity to:

learn in a broad area of settings (see list below)

test their interests and ideas

conduct health policy work

develop professional skills and expectations
Some examples of internship work include:

evaluating current health laws and policies

applying ethical, analytical, or theoretical approaches to health problems

reviewing legal and ethical components of health policies

organizing community health activist groups
Internship sites vary with the student's interests, geographical preferences, and learning objectives. To the best of our ability, each internship will be tailored to the specific needs of each student. Examples of internship sites include:
