Mathematics-Computer Science (teacher education) (B.S.)
In this technological age, there is a growing need and a strong job market for educators skilled in both mathematics and computer science. Our mathematics-computer science teaching program combines solid coursework in both fields and leads to initial New York State teacher certification. In addition, Ithaca College is also the national coordinating site for COMPASS (Curricular Options in Mathematics Programs for All Secondary Students), a nationwide effort to improve math studies. Students may also opt to participate in our student teaching partnership with the Franklin Douglass Academy in Harlem. With such initiatives it's no wonder we’ve produced award-winning teachers.
