Emerging Scholars Program (ESP)

ALANA Career Connections and Alumni Mentoring

ALANA Career Connections is an annual event sponsored by Career Services.  Co-sponsors include Alumni Affairs; the Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs; the Office of State Grants; and Academic Enrichment Services.

This program was established to offer an opportunity for ALANA students to interact with successful alumni of color and others from a variety of careers.

An interactive panel discussion enables students to ask questions and hear a variety of answers and perspectives that will help them in the career development process.  Panelists share their valley and mountaintop experiences, giving students realistic views of what they can expect on the journey to success.

Alumni panelists demonstrate the value of an Ithaca College degree through their own stories of professional growth and career success.

This year’s event was held on Saturday, February 23, 2013.  Over 100 students were in attendance!
