CSTEP Intern for Academic Enrichment Services

Reonda Campbell Greathouse ’08 is winner of the first Academic Enrichment Services Director’s Award.  She is a graduate of the Ithaca College School of Business and her major is Accounting.  A respected student leader, Reonda was President of the National Association of Black Accountants at Ithaca College; Treasurer for Kuumba Reporatory Theater; and she has been a member of Sigma Iota Epsilon Management fraternity for students of superior academic achievement and high moral character.

In addition to being an active member of CSTEP, Reonda was the CSTEP graduate intern for the past year. She was also a HEOP student and worked nearly full time during her entire college career while maintaining a strong academic standing.   In the Fall of 2008, Reonda will attend the Rochester Institute of Technology’s graduate program in Business.

 

Collegiate Science & Technology Entry Program

Sponsored by the New York State Department of Education, the mission of CSTEP is to increase the number of African-American, Latino, Asian, Native American and economically disadvantaged students of any race in the sciences and technological profession. We provide professional development opportunities and other supportive services to enrolled students giving them a better chance for success in college.

In addition to supplemental academic consultation; peer and professional tutoring; guidance with the graduate and professional school process; support for KAPLAN courses, CSTEP can assist students with financing internships and research experiences, and summer courses at Ithaca College.

Members of CSTEP convene on a monthly basis for organizational meetings and planning for annual events such as:
