Collegiate Science & Technology Entry Program

Sponsored by the New York State Department of Education, the mission of CSTEP is to increase the number of historically underrepresented groups who are pursuing professional licensure and careers in mathematics, science, technology, and health-related fields.  CSTEP provides professional development opportunities and many types of support services to participants, allowing for greater academic success at Ithaca College.

ELIGIBILITY**

New York State resident;

African-American, Latino, American Indian, or Alaskan Native or economically disadvantaged *  from any race;

Full-time student; and

Enrolled in a major that leads to NYS professional licensure or careers in mathematics, science, technology and health-related fields.  Examples: 

§         Accounting

§         Allied Health Careers

§         Athletic Training

§         Computer Science

§         Computer Information Systems

§         Pre-Law

§         Math/Science Education

§         Medicine/Pre-Med

§         Occupational Therapy

§         Occupational Therapy Assistants

§         Physical Therapy

§         Physical Therapy Assistants

§         Psychology

§         Social Work

§         Speech-Language Pathology

**If you are ineligible you can apply to be considered a "CSTEP Affiliate."  Affiliates can attend most CSTEP campus-based events and in many cases can receive the benefits below, with the exception of direct financial assistance from CSTEP.
