The Rural Aging Summit to be held at Ithaca College, Ithaca, New York on September 20th and 21st 2007 is designed as a working conference to raise awareness of the challenges and opportunities presented by the growing elder population in rural areas.
The conference developed a comprehensive report of policy recommendations to address these concerns at the state and local level. It was the first such event ever held in the state.
The data on this web site are provided as a background for the discussions which will take place during the Summit. This website was made possible by a grant from the Community Health Foundation of Western and Central New York.
