Goal/Audience

The goal of this module is to introduce participants to the concept and practice of interdisciplinary geriatric assessment in rural areas.  The intended audience is students, faculty, and professionals from a range of disciplines and practice environments who want to learn more about interdisciplinary geriatric assessment in rural areas.  Thus, for some the content will be new and for others it may act as a review. The developers of this module have attempted to provide as much background information as possible throughout the module by utilizing links to other informative sites as well as the development of a glossary.

Suggestions for improvement:  This module should be viewed as an evolving learning tool that has the ability to change and expand as needed.  If you want to share any comments about the site, especially ways that it could be improved, please email your comments to decker@ithaca.edu.  As time and funding permits, more modules or "cases" representing different rural aging health care scenarios may be added.
