Class Reunions

Classes of 1962 and Earlier

It's been more than 50 years since we left Ithaca College! Since then we have found there is no better way to celebrate our years at IC than by coming back to campus and visiting with friends. We hope you'll join us for Alumni Weekend, October 11–13, 2013.

In addition to reminiscing with friends and acquaintances, Alumni Weekend is our opportunity to see what's going on in the schools and on campus, visit with faculty, talk to current students, and spend some time back in Ithaca. We’ve got some great events planned, including:

  • A welcome back happy hour with alumni and the senior class
  • Your special reunion gathering Friday night
  • An invitation-only breakfast with President Tom Rochon at his home on Saturday morning
  • The athletic hall of fame induction ceremony
  • Saturday picnic
  • The Homecoming football game (IC vs. Alfred)
  • Saturday night's "Taste of IC" dinner, followed by your choice of dancing or a special concert performance

But we need your help: your reunion is in need of leadership. If you are interested in helping, call Brenda Carlisle at (607) 274-1381 or send her an email at bcarlisle@ithaca.edu. The more people you have planning the weekend, the higher the turnout you're likely to get.

If you know of alumni who have not kept in touch with Ithaca College, please encourage them to attend and to update their contact information at www.icalumni.net so they can receive future Alumni Weekend communications.

We know this is not our campus, but reunions are about people, and getting reacquainted with the friends they made so many years ago. IC is stepping up to welcome us back and we hope you will accept this invitation to join us. Feel free to email us to say hello!

A word about hotel reservations: the sooner you make them, the better. We've arranged for special rates at many local hotels, but rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Rates and details can be found on the Area Hotels page of this website.
