Jerry Dietz has owned and operated C.S.P. Management, a real estate management firm in Ithaca, since 1990. Prior to establishing this organization, Jerry was the chef and owner of two restaurants in Ithaca: Ragmann's and the Other Side.
The depth of Jerry's professional investment in the Ithaca community is reflected in his volunteer work. He has chaired Share Our Strength's local Taste of the Nation event since 1994, a food- and wine-tasting fund-raiser that has put more than $750,000 into local hunger and poverty relief services. Jerry is also the cofounder of the Southern Tier AIDS Program's AIDS Ride for Life, which has raised more than $1.5 million for local HIV/AIDS services in its 12-year history.
A 1975 graduate, Jerry remains active in the Ithaca College community. In 2010–11, he devoted much time and energy to his role as chair of the advisory committee for the successful campaign to raise funds to build the Robert B. Tallman Rowing Center, which will be the new home of IC's crew program.
Jerry has been the recipient of the Debra S. Newman '02 Cornell Tradition Community Recognition Award and the Human Services Coalition of Tompkins County's Anne Tompkins Jones Award. And, in 2008, his company, C.S.P. Management, was recognized by the Finger Lakes Chapter of the Association of Fund-Raising Professionals as the corporate philanthropist of the year.
Jerry and his wife, Judy Schapiro Dietz '76, are the proud parents of Robert Dietz '10.
