Through his work on Wall Street, Tas Hasan has vowed to increase the visibility of Ithaca College -- and a better ambassador would be difficult to find. Tas, a graduate of the School of Business, is vice president at Deerpath Capital Management, serving as a member of a team specializing in privately negotiated investments in debt and equity of small businesses.

After his graduation from Ithaca College, Tas began his career in New York as an analyst at RBC Capital Markets. After two years at RBC, he joined GSC Partners as a member of the team specializing in distressed credit investing. Following this experience at GSC, he accepted a position with Dune Capital Management, a Soros Fund Management spin-off, where he was involved in special situations credit investing.

Tas is a member of IC’s Business Advisory Council. He also serves as a trustee of HealthCare Chaplaincy, a New York City-based not-for-profit organization. HealthCare Chaplaincy is a national leader in research, education, and practice that integrates spirituality with medical care.

Tas grew up in Bangladesh and currently lives in New York with his wife, Nienke, and their yellow lab, Lola. Tas and Nienke are avid travelers and enjoy returning to Ithaca.
