Alumni Association

Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow

The student alumni association, Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow, promotes the relationship between current students and alumni. Under the guidance of the Office of Alumni Relations and the Ithaca College Alumni Association, STAT offers students the chance to meet and work with classmates and alumni to foster pride in IC as well as a lifelong commitment to the College.

Any student can apply to be a member of STAT. For more information, contact Lynne Pierce, STAT's adviser, at lpierce@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3846.

Events and Activities

Each year, STAT coordinates a weeklong celebration, Spirit Week, that culiminates in IC's Alumni Weekend celebration. More information on Spirit Week 2012, which took place October 8-13, can be found on the Spirit Week website.

Volunteer Work

Every year STAT members volunteer for projects in or near the Ithaca area. Past projects have included the annual Colleges Against Cancer Relay for Life and a benefit concert for victims of regional flooding.

Conferences

STAT members can attend annual conferences at the district and/or national level with other college and university student alumni groups. There they can network, exchange ideas on strengthening the link between students and alumni, and have fun.

Networking

STAT members network with alumni by hosting them at on-campus "dine-ins," bringing them back for special events, and working with the Office of Career Services on the annual Network Nights in cities throughout the North East.

Traditions

In addition to sponsoring "STAT Attacks" -- support for various other student organizations at events like concerts, athletic competitions, and social programs -- we are working with IC's First-Year Experience program to create a Traditions Challenge.
