Academic and Career Support

Career Services

You're entitled to a wide range of career services after college. Check out the career services website to learn about individualized career counseling, getting help with résumés and cover letters, mock interviews, credential files, grad school, and online job and internship listings as well as other online employment resources.

Career assessment tools are also available. These help you identify career areas that relate to your values, interests, and abilities.

In addition to the online library eBrary, an extensive career resource library is housed on campus. It contains materials on such topics as conducting a job or internship search and how to select a career, as well as directories of companies by city or field, graduate school guides, and salary surveys.

Ithaca Heritage Grant

As your child nears college age, think about continuing your family's Ithaca College connection. Children of alumni are entitled to a $1,000-a-year heritage grant.

Kaplan Test Prep Discounts

You, your spouse, and your children get 10 percent off the cost of any Kaplan classroom test prep course and $50 off any online test prep course. Course information is available at Kaplan's website. To register and get the alumni discount, call 800-KAP-TEST.

Alumni always receive free transcripts of their IC academic records. To order one or more transcripts, download the request form from the registrar's website or write a letter to the registrar's office. Include your Social Security number, your birth date, the dates you attended IC, your major, the name you studied under, your phone number, and where you want the transcript(s) sent.
