Amy Kule, the 1987 history graduate who plans and produces the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, returned to her alma mater on Sunday, May 20, to give the college’s Commencement address. As Kule spoke, she was flanked by a pair of giant helium balloons from the parade, and as she concluded her address, the audience was showered with confetti. In between, Kule told the 1,360 graduates and their guests to take a deep breath, grasp the reins of their lives and find their passion.

Cornell Woodson '09 has been named the young alumni chair of the Ithaca Fund.

New agreement benefits alumni, expands New York City program
Starting this spring, alumni will have a chance to stay in the heart of New York City at discounted rates. At the same time, the College will expand its Ithaca College New York City (ICNYC) program for current students.

Thanks to Ithaca Mayor Svante Myrick, city public works crews, and project contractors, Clinton Street will be open during Commencement weekend and it will not be necessary to detour around the construction project.

Seventeen businesses from Ithaca and surrounding areas made their support of IC known by becoming Friends of Ithaca College business members for 2011-2012.
Membership dues paid by the businesses below directly support the Friends of Ithaca College Scholarship, which assists local students with financial need who are attending IC, and the Ithaca Fund, the College's annual fund, which provides support for nearly all aspects of the campus experience.
