Recreation and Leisure Studies (RLS) alumni and faculty joined staff and a parent from Recreation Support Services (RSS) at the Ithaca Youth Bureau to present "Reaching for Equity: Taking Positive Steps Toward Inclusion" at the 57th Annual Cortland Recreation Conference. Joanie Groome (RSS Coordinator), parent Jessica Ryan, Charlie Dorsey '04 and Siobhan Whalen '08 (therapeutic recreation alumni who were hired as RSS specialists in recreation for individuals with disabilities), and faculty Linda Heyne shared their collaboration to involve participants with disabilities in meaningful recreation opportunities.
