Let's Brighten Up Boston, May 5
In keeping with IC's tradition of community service, we invite our alumni to participate in a cleanup at the Christian Herter Park in Brighton. We'll spend the morning volunteering for the Charles River Conservancy, as an IC community, alongside alumni groups from other institutions. Please join us to clean, perform maintenance, remove invasive species, and do any other tasks the Conservancy needs help with.
Saturday, May 5, 2012
9:00 a.m. - noon
Christian Herter Park (Map and Directions)
1175 Soldiers Field Road
Brighton, MA 02135
Cost is $10 and includes an IC T-shirt. Snacks and water will be provided by sponsors through the Charles River Conservancy. Since we're going to be outdoors all morning, it's a good idea to bring your own water bottle, too, as well as sunscreen. Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes and clothing that can get dirty. Parking is available.
Space is limited, so be sure to register by Wednesday, April 18, at www.icalumni.net/HerterPark12. In the event of rain, the day of service will be moved to Saturday, May 12.
