Alumni

This fall will mark the first time Ithaca College will host a combined Alumni and Homecoming Weekend, on October 8-11, 2009, and we welcome all alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff, and students to join us.

In addition to the traditional Homecoming events -- the pep rally and bonfire, the football game, and the athletic hall of fame induction ceremony and dinner -- we will hold special celebrations for all traditional reunions (5th, 10th, 15th ... 40th, 45th) as well as for campus affinity groups (student organizations, athletic teams, etc.).

Other highlights include a pregame picnic, the alumni awards ceremony, musical entertainment, and theatrical performances. And since the College is in session, this is a perfect opportunity to reconnect with your favorite faculty and staff.

Come back to catch up with old friends (and make some new ones), recapture fond memories, and revisit Ithaca in its fall splendor. We are excited to be able to combine Alumni Weekend and Homecoming, when the campus is buzzing with activity, and we hope very much that you will be part of the planning and celebration.

A detailed schedule of events is yet to be ironed out, but we're planning all kinds of activities that we know our alumni will enjoy -- and as you may remember, that second weekend in October is the peak of foliage season in the Finger Lakes, so you'll get the added bonus of a fall foliage tour.

We can't offer on-campus housing because students will be here, but we have reserved hotel and motel rooms at varying rates throughout the Ithaca area. Click "Housing" at left to see a list of hotels and motels that are offering special rates for the weekend.

Please help us make this a truly wonderful event. Rally all your friends and come back to campus on October 8-11.

This year we're celebrating classes that end in 4 and 9 and are in the process of forming class reunion committees.
