Art Club

The Art Club was established to provide the students at Ithaca College an additional opportunity to express their feelings through art. Students are afforded the opportunity to create, explore, and discover. Often faculty members participate in art Club activities and are willing to give advice to students during the program. this is especially helpful to Art Club members who are not able to include art courses in their academic schedule but wish to advance their skills.

Art Club activities in the past have included trips to Lake Cayuga to gather dead wood for the creation of sculptures exhibited in the Academic Quad. The art club has worked to express environmental concerns through the decoration of campus trash containers and recycling bins. Independent projects, and brainstorming sessions have also been an important part of the art Club's programming. Finally, the Art club holds open figure drawing sessions which are open to students, faculty, and the Ithaca Community.
