I have a server available for dropping files. You have to ftp to the servers using a program like WS_FTP (which is on all of the college lab machines or is available as a download). Every student has been given an account on this machine.

Do not compress files that you put on the server; there is plenty of disk space.

To place a file on the machine you must:

1. Start an ftp program.

2. log into the machine with the account "yourLastName". The address of the machine is 147.129.18.208. If this address changes, I'll put a note on the announcements section of the class home page.

3. authenticate with the password that you will be given in class.

4. your default directory will be in /home/yourLastName. You must navigate up a directory to the directory home and then down to the directory /home/cs311 Inside this directory are directories for each problem set. Go inside the appropriate directory and transfer your folder containing your solutions. You have write but not read permissions on all ps directories.
