Genetics, Decisions and Society Spring 2002

Text: Human Heredity: Principles and Issues
Michael Cummings, 5th edition
Policies
Attendance:
For Part 1 of the course, you are encouraged to attend all lectures, although
attendance will not be taken. It is to your very great advantage to attend
all lectures as information may be presented that is not covered in the
text. For parts 2 and 3, attendance is required, as a courtesy to
your classmates who are giving presentations. One unexcused absence
is permitted in these each of these sections. Subsequent absences will
result in the deduction of 10 points from your presentation in that
section of the course. For example, if you miss two classes in part 2 and
receive a score of 90 on your presentation in that section, your score
will be reduced to 80.
