Who is eligible to purchase?

The Ithaca College Bookstore CLP Departmental purchase program for Adobe Contractual Licensing Program (CLP) software products provides a significant price reduction to departments for Ithaca College users. The Adobe CLP is a volume-licensing program effective for 2 years from July 1st, 2009 through June 30, 2011. It is NOT a site license program. End Users must acquire a license for each computer they plan to install the software on.

It is the responsibility of each department to insure they have purchased the proper number of licenses based on the number and types of products that are actually being installed and used. In the event of an audit, you must show proof of purchase for the items in use. Compliance, or adhering to the terms and conditions of the Adobe CLP agreement, is critical. There are penalties associated with not being properly licensed. The Ithaca College Bookstore does not assume any responsibility for penalties and/or departmental record keeping.

CLP software may only be purchased by an Ithaca College Department for use on an Ithaca College computer within that academic department. It must be purchased by an authorized department representative, using departmental funds (IC Pro Card). The purchaser must also sign the Bookstore purchase form to start the order process.

To order Adobe CLP software follow the following steps:

1. The IC Departmental customer comes to the IC Bookstore to place an order. They will need to fill out and sign an order form. A receipt will be provided after payment is received for the software using the Department Pro-Card. No software is provided at this time.

2. The Bookstore places an order for the Adobe software.

3. Software media is shipped from the Bookstore vendor via UPS Ground directly to the purchaser. Adobe emails the customer an email and the purchaser follows the instructions provided by Adobe to obtain their serial number.

4. Customer should receive the software media and obtain the software serial number from Adobe in approximately 4 working days.

5. Adobe product is then installed on the IC owned computer by user or an IC Field Service Technician.

General CLP Product Notes and Item Definitions:

1. Adobe CLP Departmental Licensing Software is only available to current Ithaca College Departments. Departmental Cost in chart includes license and media set. Optional Maintenance Fees are available at an added cost in chart under upgrade plan.

2. License Serial Number: The license is the right to use the software. Licenses are controlled by Adobe.

3. Media: The media is a means for installing the purchased licenses. (The installation media does not come with a license, but is included in the price).

4. Upgrade Plan: Entitles the user to all enhancements, bug fixes, updates and upgrades for the duration of the contract period (see above dates) at an additional cost to the department.

5. User Documentation (printed manuals) is not included with the software.

• All Adobe purchases must be made in the Bookstore. Resale Registration form is required to be completed and signed at time of sale. All sales are sales tax exempt, no further discounts can be applied and all sales are final.
• Product can only be sold to Department authorized personal. Ithaca College ID is required. The Bookstore can not sell to student employees working for a specific department.
• Department is responsible for all liability of the product after purchase.
• Department is responsible to purchase and verify the correct Operating System platform for their Personal Computer at time of sale. There are "NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES ON CLP SOFTWARE. IT IS THE DEPARTMENT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO PURCHASE THE CORRECT PRODUCT AT TIME OF SALE.
• Activation of software, is via a license serial number that will be provided by Adobe via email to the customer. The Department is responsible to load and activate the software on their PC. If no one in the department is capable to load the software, an ITS Service Request can be placed to have Field Service load the software. The Bookstore is not required to support any software installation.
• User Documentation (printed manuals) is not included with the software.
• CLP Software is eligible for upgrades at an additional cost at the time of sale, which is referred to as upgrade plan.

The Ithaca College Bookstore Adobe CLP program is intended to supply affordable software licensing to Ithaca College Departments to enhance the Education learning experience.
