| Course Organization: |
Lectures are MWF at 2:00 PM in CNS 204. There will be four Preliminary exams and one comprehensive Final in this course - see the schedule for dates and times. |
| Homework: |
The goal for the homework is for you to master the topic and techniques covered. It is
important to the learning process that your solutions represent your own understanding and mastery. What you
hand in for your homework must be entirely your own work. If you are having trouble with a particular homework problem,
please come to me for assistance. I am available for help almost any time in my office, even outside of normal office hours, so
feel free to seek help when you need it.
(Don't worry about interrupting me: trust me, if I'm really busy, I'll tell you to go away and come back later.)
To receive full credit, homework must be clearly written and well organized, with all functions, variables and constants clearly defined. Please don't assume that I'll know what you are thinking - explain it to me. Also, please leave enough room for me to leave handwritten comments, if necessary, throughout your solutions. To succeed in professional science and engineering, you must consistently meet deadlines (unless you work for the government), so I will not accept late homework. |
