What is it?

ID Express is a debit account that is accessed with your Ithaca College ID card. An ID Express account gives a convenient, easy and safe way to make PURCHASES on campus. Please note that you CANNOT WITHDRAW CASH from your ID Express account.

How does it work?

Simply present your ID card when you make a purchase. Your balance will be noted on your receipt from the bookstore, Sub Connection, and Mac's and will be displayed on the cashier's screen at all other locations where ID Express is accepted.

To use a vending machine, washer, or dryer, just swipe your ID card through the reader on the machine, then make your selection. (Vending-service purchases with ID Express are limited to $20 a day in case your card is lost or stolen.)

Where can I use it?

When your ID Express account has funds to cover your purchase, you can use it at any of the following locations:

Resident Dining Halls: if you are on a meal plan, you can use ID Express to buy an additional meal or treat a friend. And if you're not on a meal plan, ID Express is a convenient way to purchase meals in the dining halls.

Bookstore: Need some supplies the day before payday? Simply pull out your ID card, make your purchase, and your ID Express account will be debited.

Mac's and Sub Connection: When you're short on cash, ID Express allows you to buy what you need at these convenience stores.

Tower Club Restaurant: Enjoy elegant dining without leaving campus. Tower Club Restaurant accepts payment by ID Express. And it's faster than a credit card.

IC Square Food Court: Don't worry about missing a meal if you forget your wallet. The food court will accept your ID card and deduct the purchase from your ID Express account.

Library: Use your ID Express account to make photocopies, purchase snacks and drinks, or pay overdue fines.

Recreation Center: When you don't have time to go home between classes, you can use ID Express to play games in the recreation center.

Vending Machines: No need to search for change - ID Express gives you easy access to snack and soda machines.

Et Cetera: Other locations that welcome ID Express include La Vincita, Grand Central Cafe, the Ithaca Dining Services main office (Surprise SOMEONE - for cakes and care packages), Webfood, the Dillingham Center and Whalen Center box offices, Hammond Health Center, and the Traffic Bureau (for parking permits and traffic fines).

Simply call one of the participating vendors, give them your ID number over the phone, and present your card to the delivery person when they bring your order.

How do I open an account?

Simply fill out the following form and submit it with your check or money order (made payable to Ithaca College) to the Office of the Bursar, 210 Job Hall, Ithaca, NY 14850-7032. Please be sure to include your ID number. Click on this link to print an ID Express Application Form

How do I add money to my account?

You can make deposits of any amount at the Office of the Bursar. The office accepts checks and money orders, made payable to Ithaca College. The Office of the Bursar will also accept cash at 210 Job Hall only. YOU MAY NOT USE A CREDIT CARD TO DEPOSIT MONEY IN YOUR ID EXPRESS ACCOUNT. In addition, ID EXPRESS cash deposits can be made at the Valuport locations next to the Information Desk in Egbert Hall and at the College Circle Apartments

What more do I need to know?

The ID card and any funds in an ID Express account are the responsibility of the individual cardholder until the ID office (607-274-3007) or the Office of Campus Safety (607-274-3333) is notified that the card is lost or stolen.

Your ID Express account will automatically be closed if you leave the College through an official process such as withdrawal or graduation. In that event, you may receive any unused balance in your account by making a written request to the Office of the Bursar. (If no request is made, any funds remaining in the account will revert to the College if the amount is under $10.)

If you have an outstanding financial obligation to the College, funds in your ID Express account will be applied to what you owe before any amount is refunded to you.

If you are a continuing student, any balance in your ID Express account must be carried over to the following academic year for use at that time.
