I am very proud of many things that we have done as an organization this past year, especially in this latest semester that I have served as President. Through the creation of the Accounting Student Consortium, we have come up with a way to produce common programming for all three accounting groups to help prevent conflicts and topic overlaps. This will be extremely beneficial in the future as we try to encourage more and more students to become involved and participate actively in one or any combination of the three accounting groups. The ASC also came together recently to raise money and participate in Relay for Life, another proud accomplishment from this past semester.
I feel that we have laid the foundation for a great future of the Ithaca College Accounting Association, and will continue to build on that next year as an executive board and a group as a whole. It will be exciting to see how far the revitalization will go, and what impact we can have on the lives and academic careers of our members and members of other ASC organizations.
If it hadn't been for the hard work of our executive board exemplified this past semester, none of what we have accomplished would have been possible. I would first like to thank these fellow executive board members for putting in the effort necessary to install a completely new board, and a new constitution. I would also like to give thanks to all members, new and old, of the Ithaca College Accounting Association for bearing with the new board and some changes that we have made in our short term so far. Together, the executive board and general members will continue to strengthen the accounting association more and more each year.
