Do You Know a Student Who Would Make a Great Resident Assistant?!
DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO WOULD MAKE A GREAT RESIDENT ASSISTANT?! If so, recommend them! The Resident Assistant position is one of the top leadership positions available to students. This highly challenging, yet very rewarding, experience encourages students to develop strong interpersonal skills, assertiveness, and time management skills.
Do you know a leader in your classroom, club, or department? Someone that is energetic and self-motivated? If you do, recommend to the Office of Residential Life to become a Resident Assistant for the 2008-2009 academic year!
In return for their contribution to the Ithaca College community, Resident Assistants receive the following benefits:
• Financial Assistance with their Room and Board fees (compensation for the 2007-2008 academic year is $8,077 for new RAs applied directly to their student account)
• A guaranteed single room
• Free Voicemail
In addition to the monetary benefits, Resident Assistants often make friendships and memories that last a lifetime, have a great resume-building experience, and develop a strong foundation to assist them in achieving their career aspirations. However, perhaps the most important and rewarding benefit is being able to make a difference in the lives of others.
