Business Advisory Council
The Business Advisory Council (BAC) provides advice and consultation to the dean of the School of Business on issues related to strategic planning and management, curriculum design, mentoring of students, internships and externships, and in the school's efforts to produce graduates who possess the skills and abilities to become business leaders of the next generation.
An IBA Event: Alumni Networking Forum - September, 2011
"An IBA Event: Alumni Networking Forum" is the first of an annual session series presented by your IBA Executive Board and sponsored by the Business School Dean's Office and IC Career Services. The event is a panel and Q&A series for students in the business school interested in connecting with top "Big 4" companies such as Ernst & Young, KPMG, Morgan Stanley, Scottrade, and Office of the Comptroller.
The Annual Student Leadership Retreat, 2011
At the beginning of each academic year, the School of Business hosts a retreat for every organization and their executive boards. These retreats serve as excellent networking opportunities, an area to learn about policies and processes to maintain a healthy organization, and even welcome new organizations!
Open House - 9/17/2011
Open Houses allow prospective students and their families to visit the School of Business and meet with current students and faculty. At each Open House, current students present aspects of the school and meet with these students to answer questions they may have about the business program, or Ithaca College overall.
Business Idea Competition Weekly Workshop - 9/15/2011
Each week, local entrepreneurs, Tom Schryver and Brad Treat, host a workshop to help students form ideas, shape these ideas into businesses, and present these ideas in a cohesive manner. In the first week, the entrepreneurs discussed the importance of ideas and how to discover what is needed in the world.
2011 Student Organization Fair
The School of Business hosts the Student Organization Fair each year to represent and promote School of Business clubs and organizations.
Attendees of the fair have the opportunity to learn about the various organizations, grab some food, and win some great prizes!
The 2011 Student Organization Fair was visited by over 150 students!
Welcome BBQ- September 3, 2011
Each Fall, the School of Business Peer Advisors host the annual Welcome Back BBQ to get acquainted with their advisees. This event is held as a tailgate before the first football game of the year and together, the advisors and advisees watch the game together.

School of Business Awards Ceremony 2010
Each spring, the School of Business hosts a banquet to celebrate the achievements of our students in the academic and leadership arenas. Students with 3.5+ GPA and executive board members of the business school organizations are invited along with faculty and staff.
A distinguished alumnus is invited to speak to the students about success. This year’s alum was Paul Hessler ’87, an Individual Giving Officer for Ithaca College.
Presented at the banquet are special awards for two outstanding seniors in leadership and academics.This year’s recipients are Distinguished Leadership and Service Award: Allison Walker and Dean’s Award: Aaron Jones.

Park Center Dedication Ceremony
On April 24, 2008, members of the School of Business and the IC community came together to dedicate the business school's new home, the Dorothy D. and Roy H. Park Center for Business and Sustainable Enterprise.
Business school alumnus Lee Bird '86, president of Nike Affiliates, gave the keynote address. He spoke on Nike's innovative approach to changing the corporate responsibility paradigm. After that, guests gathered in the Park Center atrium to formally dedicate the new building. The Ithaca Brass provided a rousing fanfare, followed by remarks from School of Business dean Susan West Engelkemeyer, Ithaca College president Peggy Williams, and Larry Alleva '71, chair of the recently concluded Campaign for Ithaca College: Making a World of Difference.
Earlier in the day, associate professor of legal studies Marlene Barken moderated "Sustainability in Action," the third annual student-faculty colloquium, during which business students and professors discussed topics such as climate change, the link between sustainability and financial performance, and microenterprise in Ecuador.
