I really enjoyed the year that I spent with J&L Marketing, Inc. I was a promotion coordinator and was able to experience market research firsthand. J&L sent me training materials, then flew me to Louisville for a weekend-long training session. 

After this weekend, I was prepared enough to travel on my own to various cities across the United States to a vast number of car dealerships. Once there, I ran promotions and surveyed the target market. Once the promotion ended, I compiled all of the information and presented it back to the owner of the dealership and my supervisor in Louisville.

As a promotion coordinator, I learned how to be self-reliant as well as apply the knowledge I learned throughout my business courses. I became a better public speaker and created many contacts throughout the country, simply by speaking to the customers who entered the dealerships. 

I would definitely recommend this internship to any business major!
