Hey all, its Jeff again. I have been MIA for some time due to spring break and all the planning that went into just a week! It is good to be back at IC, although the weather could be a little better, after all it is supposed to be spring.
For this post, I thought it would be appropriate to remind everyone of the opportunities here at Ithaca College that also might make you think about everyday chances in your own life. At the school of business, where one of the first ever student-run investment clubs was born, is some of the best technology, facilities, and training of any college campus. From Thomson One Portfolio Manager that is used on Wall Street to a student staff that runs and educates students, parents, alumni about our facilities, the Trading Room remains one of the school's most prized assets. Imagine, receiving data and news instantly, without a delay like most every institution's investment clubs do. The same time as the 'busy brokers' on Wall Street. Don't imagine to long because you can check it out yourself in the Ithaca College School of Business Trading Room. Wow!
Life is packed with meetings, classes, hanging out with friends, but be mindful of the present opportunities right here at IC. Having access to such great facilities, student support, and technology is impressive. Take some time to mull this blog or sit in (might have to stand) on an Investment Club meeting every Tuesday at 12:10 in the Trading Room.
So long for now, happy trails.
Jeff
