AOL Executive David Lebow '83 Visits Ithaca
David Lebow '83, executive vice president and general manager of AOL Media Networks, spoke on effective leadership at 7:30 on Thursday, April 5 in Emerson Suites. The School of Business and Sigma Iota Epsilon sponsored the Ithaca College alum’s visit as part of the Distinguished Management Speaker Series. A question and answer session immediately followed the hour and a half speech on Thursday night. Additionally, two interactive discussions were held on Friday, April 6.
The central focus of Lebow’s presentation detailed his experiences with leadership, specifically citing his original list of “20 rules for effective leadership.” Lebow also discussed the balance between his personal life and his demanding career as well as his journey from South Hill to AOL Media Networks. Michael Potter (2007) thought Lebow’s visit provided IC students with a great opportunity to meet and interact with a prominent Ithaca College alumnus. “I couldn't have walked away from his visit without feeling a great pride for Ithaca, confidence in our alumni network and in my ability to get a job after college.”
