Ithaca Again Featured In Princeton Review's Best 296 Business Schools

For the third straight year, the Princeton Review has included the Ithaca College School of Business in its Best 296 Business Schools nationwide guide. The education services company features the school's master of business administration degree programs in the 2009 edition of its guide, published earlier this month.

"We select schools for this book based on our high regard for their academic programs and offerings, institutional data we collect from the schools, and the candid opinions of students attending them who rate and report on their campus experiences at the schools," said Robert Franek, Princeton Review vice president of publishing. "We are pleased to recommend Ithaca College to readers of our book and users of our website as one of the best institutions they could attend to earn an MBA."

Students in Ithaca's graduate program can choose between an MBA in business administration and an MBA in professional accountancy. These intensive programs both provide instruction in management; the latter focuses on such elements of accounting as taxation and business law principles.

Best 296 Business Schools does not rank the schools in the book on a single hierarchical list from 1 to 296, or name one business school best overall. It features two-page profiles of each school, with information on their admissions, academics, student life, and career placement services.

In the profile on Ithaca College, the Princeton Review editors say that classes in the business school emphasize "a balance between building technical and interpersonal skills," and that students praise professors for their "hands-on teaching philosophy."
