Student Leadership Institute
The Student Leadership Institute (SLI) is a series of workshops designed to assist students in building their leadership skills before entering the workplace. Students who have entered the School of Business as Business Administration and/or Accounting in the Fall of 2012 or after are required to earn a certificate in either Leading Others or Leading in a Diverse World. The tracks that these students may receive a certificate in that will count towards the curriculum are:
Leading Others: YOU will be introduced to practical strategies for leading effectively in groups in the classroom, the home, the workplace, and beyond!
Leading in a Diverse World: Enhance YOUR understanding of other people and learn strategies to initiate further learning!
To View & Register for SLI Sessions:
1. Students register for the session(s) they plan to attend on Orgsync. They must pre-register for SLI sessions in order to receive credit. (NOTE: As a courtesy to the presenter, registration will close 24-48 hours prior to each event. It is important to plan ahead!)
2. When students arrive to the session they are registered for, they must sign their name on the sign-in sheet. A student SLI host will be at every SLI session with a sign-in sheet.
3. It can take several days for the SLI team to register students' names into the Orgsync system. Once students are credited with attending an event, they will receive an e-mail confirmation.

Q: How do I login to Orgsync?
A: Use your netpass username and password to login. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it at www.ithaca.edu/passwords.
Q: How do I request an SLI certificate?
A: You may request a printed certificate once you have completed 6 sessions within the same track. Simply fill out the 'SLI Certificate Request Form' which is located under 'Forms' in Orgsync. Soon after this form is completed and submitted, the SLI Team will confirm and print the certificate.
Q: How do I check my SLI credits?
A: In Orgsync, hold your cursor over the 'Events' tab and click 'Timesheets' for a full list of you SLI credits.
Q: I didn't receive a credit for a session I attended last week/month/year. What do I do?
A: Send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com with the date, time, and title of the session. The SLI Team will double check their records and respond to you directly.
