The Major

Junior Year

We strongly encourage juniors in our program to spend their spring semester off campus at either our London Center or our program in Washington, D.C. During the fall, you will take an Applied Law elective --- a law course of your choosing --- such as "Criminal Law," "International Law," "Marketplace Regulations," Real Estate Law," or "Alternative Dispute Resolution.

You will also study the United States Constitution and read cases from the Supreme Court in "Constitutional Law."

It's up to you where you want to spend the spring semester. But Ithaca College has two great options you may wish to explore. First, we have a London Center located near Kensington Palace. Check out the web site for the London Center at http://www.ithaca.edu/london/

Or, you may wish to study at our Washington, D.C. facilities. Check out the web site at http://www.ithaca.edu/washington/

Either program allows you to complete your Legal Internship requirement. Students in London have interned at Parliament and the House of Commons, to name a few; and our Washington, D.C. internships include Congress and the Justice Department.
