Hate Mail
I am writing to share with you my findings on the Yurko case and Shaken
Baby Syndrome (SBS) theory. I spent the last few months investigating
the SBS theory that has impacted the lives of many people in the last
thirty years. Below is the links for my report on the Yurko case that
led me to investigate SBS and articles written about my report. I found
that the SBS theory is scientifically unsupported and innocent parents
are wrongly accused of killing their babies. Please share my findings
with others.

Silence
Under the snowy embrace of January the college begins another semester
and we all get back into our usual routines. There is one thing that
I have noticed of lately on this campus and it is slowly becoming scary.
It is the silence. Sure we can still hear the inane chatter of our peers,
the melodic tunes of the cell phones ringing and the usual complaint
or two but silence is still common on campus. This is the silence brought
on by the apathy and the indifference of the average Ithaca College.
If IC is supposedly infested with activists, protestors and other people
who give a damn then where are they? We started school on Martin Luther
King Jr. Day for God's sake and the only complaint I heard was why we
had to start the semester on a Monday. Where was the uproar for the
fact that our school decided to only dedicate a luncheon to the memory
of, in my opinion, the greatest man in American history? We live in
an increasingly turbulent age in which we face great change yet most
students don't care about anything except their weekend plans. Our generations
tried to shake off the image of the apathetic drone years ago and yet
we are slowly falling back into it. The voices of those who actually
are brave enough to give up a night of whining and actually give a crap
fall on deaf ears. Preaching to the choir does not get anything done
and this silence will only end up harming us. So go to the teach ins
and talks that are announced across campus whether they talk from the
right or left, whichever suits your style, and actually take a stand.
You might learn something and will see that life does not end at the
Abercombie & Fitch.
