2013 Summer Orientation - Extended Transfer
Going to college, even a new college, can simultaneously be
exhilarating and overwhelming. You may be excited but equally as nervous
about meeting new people, experiencing a new (or different) college
environment, finding roommates, attending college-level classes,
navigating the campus, finding acceptance in a new environment, or just
exploring a new town!
To make this significant transition a little bit easier, Ithaca has a
summer orientation program where new and transfer students can meet other
classmates, learn about campus life, attend workshops and social events,
gain exposure to some of the academic and social challenges they might
face, talk with faculty, and register for fall semester classes.
Orientation is a great time to hear from current students, ask questions,
and get a sneak peak of what to expect at Ithaca College before the
semester starts.

South Street Seaport, New York, NY
Alumni Happy Hour Cruise in NYC
Join fellow IC alumni and friends for a breathtaking New York harbor cruise! The ship leaves from the South Street Seaport and glides past many of New York's most legendary landmarks: the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, and the Brooklyn Bridge. The ship has two enclosed decks and several outside overhangs in case of bad weather. We'll sail rain or shine! A special gathering will take place after the cruise; the location will be announced on board.
RSVP by Monday, June 17, at icalumni.net/NYCHarborCruise2013. The cost is $30 per person and includes the cruise and appetizers at the gathering afterward. Beverages will be available for purchase.
The ship will depart promptly at 6:30 p.m. Please arrive at Skipper's Pierside Cafe, located behind the music stage on Pier 16 across from the tall sail ship Peking, no later than 6:15 p.m., or you will literally miss the boat! Check-in will be available beginning at 5:30 p.m.
