Ithaca College Concerts Workshop: Cantus
Cantus will present a demonstration of their process as a chamber vocal ensemble, discussing issues such as vocal technique, balancing solo vs. ensemble singing, the elements of engaging performance as well as their collaborative process as a vocal ensemble without conductor. They will use excerpts of their repertoire and audience participation to illustrate concepts, perform a few pieces in full, and also incorporate time for questions throughout the session.

Cantus will present "On the Shoulders of Giants," a diverse program of music from the earliest notated music to recent works in a variety of languages and styles. Music of Victoria, Grieg, Thompson, Schubert, Spirituals, U2, and a host of others.
This is a ticketed event.
