"The Ithaca College Game Developers Club will be hosting a 24 hour video game design competition. Attendees of the event whether experienced or not will group up with strangers and learn/build a functional videogame. Attendees will be encouraged to think critically and efficiently in order to get the game in by the 12 noon deadline the next day. We will show off the games in the afternoon. It's a chance to flex your creative muscles and do something fun on a Saturday night."

"Commemorate 10 years of pungmul in Ithaca with a celebration of folk tale, music, and dance at Shimtah's 9th Annual Concert! Event is open to the greater Ithaca community.
Event will be held in two segments:
"HEUNGBU JEON" is a story originating from the time of Korea's Joseon Dynasty. It is a traditional tale of two siblings, one rich and one poor, and their relationship.
"GUT" is a form of musical celebration involving dance and percussion. It has been played since ancient times and continues to be played in many festivals throughout Korea.
ABOUT US
Shimtah (literally "heartbeat") was established in November 1999 to share traditional Korean folk music with the Cornell and Ithaca communities. In doing so, we hope to promote a better understanding of the Korean heritage, which will in turn contribute to the cultural, racial, and ethnic diversity of the campus and the city.
Pungmul (literally "wind form") is a South Korean tradition of rural folk percussion. Steeped in music, dance, theater, and pageantry, but centrally focused on rhythm, such ensembles have been an integral part of village life in South Korea for centuries, serving as a musical accompaniment in the often overlapping and shifting contexts of labor, ritual, and entertainment."
