School of Business Building
Ithaca’s new School of Business building is the signature facility of a business program very much on the rise. Designed to earn the highest (platinum) level of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification by the U.S. Green Building Council, it will be the first undergraduate business school in the world to earn that distinction and serves as a working laboratory demonstrating both the College’s and the business school’s commitment to sustainability.
At the same time, it’s designed to accommodate a more interactive learning style with U-shaped seating areas, small breakout rooms, and multiple conference rooms.
Finally, the building houses three key centers: a Center for Trading and Analysis of Financial Instruments double the size of the old trading room, a Center for Sustainable Business Practices, and a Center for Small Business. These centers will fund hands-on learning activities that extend far beyond the boundaries of the classroom.
