On Thursday, April 17, 2008, approximately 85 Washington, D.C.–area alumni, parents, and friends gathered at the Kennedy Center to celebrate the success of the Campaign for Ithaca College: Making a World of Difference. After an opening cocktail reception, Washington, D.C., Regional Campaign Committee co-chairs Steven C. White ’66, M.S. ’69, and Irene L. White ’68, M.S. ’70, welcomed guests and reported that Washington, D.C.–area donors contributed approximately $1.6 million to the campaign. Shelley Semmler, Ithaca’s vice president for institutional advancement, thanked the Washington, D.C., Regional Campaign Committee volunteers for all their hard work and highlighted the accomplishments of Peggy R.
