  • Learn anytime, anyplace -- on campus, at home, while you travel. Ithaca College online courses are as close as your computer. Enroll in courses that earn the same credits as classroom courses and that are taught interactively by Ithaca College faculty.

    Minimum Computer Requirements

Students taking courses online are expected to have access to the Internet for extended periods, either at home or in a College computer lab. You will need e-mail and a Web browser -- either Netscape Navigator, version 4.01 or newer, or Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 4.0 or newer (AOL's built-in browser may not work). Some of the course material will require that you have JAVA installed and active, and you may also need to download and install one or more plug-in applications in your browser; details will be provided by your instructor.

    Registration

The tuition rate is the same as for regular, on-campus summer courses. Enrollment is limited and is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. After registering, you should contact the course instructor to initiate study. Note: Registration dates and deadlines for two- or five-week online courses are listed on the summer calendar on page 2 of this catalog. Registration dates and deadlines for 10-week online summer courses are the same as those for summer session I.

    Pre-M.B.A. Workshops

Pre-M.B.A. workshops are intensive, graduate-level courses designed to provide students with the business terminology and key concepts necessary for further graduate business coursework. The workshops give students the opportunity to fulfill the prerequisites needed to enter Ithaca College's one-year M.B.A. program and also offer students a taste of M.B.A. study without requiring that they take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).

The workshops meet Monday through Thursday from 5:40-10:00 p.m.

Choose any or all of the four workshop modules:

    • Module 1: Management/Law (May 16-June 2)
    • Module 2: Accounting (June 6-23)
    • Module 3: Marketing/Operations Management (June 27-July 14, no class on Monday, July 4)
    • Module 4: Finance/Economics (July 18-August 4)
