Continuing Ithaca College matriculated students should register online for their summer courses using HomerConnect, the student information system. Extramural students must register through the summer sessions office.
Extramural students who wish to register in graduate-level courses must obtain the approval of the department’s graduate program chair before they register. Likewise, extramural students who wish to register for business school courses must have the approval of the associate dean of the School of Business.
Enrollment in performance study must be approved by the School of Music before a student registers.
Enrollment in independent studies and internships is by permission only. A student must formally register before he or she begins the study or internship. The process is outlined below.
1. Obtain an independent study or internship petition from your academic dean’s office.
2. In consultation with a faculty sponsor, complete the petition and develop a design statement that sets forth the specifics of the internship or independent study.
3. Have the completed petition approved by your faculty sponsor, adviser, department chair, and dean. Submit the petition and design statement to the dean’s office no later than one week before registration to allow time for review and approval.
4. Early registration is encouraged. Registration cannot be accepted after the deadline.
