Interdisciplinary Studies Course Numbering
The number of a course generally indicates the program to which it belongs and the level at which the course is offered. The prefix 393 indicates those courses offered in the planned studies major; the prefix 337 refers to the Community Service Program; and 336 refers to all other courses offered in the individual and interdisciplinary studies programs. Level-1 courses are usually open to all students but may require faculty approval. Level-2 courses are primarily for sophomores or above, but qualified freshmen may receive permission to take courses. Some level-2 courses may require faculty approval for all students. Courses in level 3 and 4 (junior and senior levels) require faculty approval. |
