Advanced Placement Policy
These policies (see the table of advanced placement equivalents) are in effect for students entering Ithaca College in the 2001-2002 academic year. They are subject to change at any time.
In the School of Humanities and Sciences general elective credit is department specific and may be used to meet distribution requirements. No advanced placement credit, either general elective or course specific, may be used to meet general education requirements. See p. 257, "General Education Requirement" in the School of Humanities and Sciences.
In all schools a score of 3 will be awarded 6 credits of general elective credit with exceptions in psychology, sociology, mathematics, computer science, government and politics, micro- and macroeconomics, statistics, and music examinations.
For additional information about Ithaca College's advanced placement policies, contact Charlotte Richardson in the Office of the Registrar, 220 Job Hall, phone 607-274-3127. Ithaca College's ETS School Code is 2325. Scores must be sent directly to the Office of the Registrar, 220 Job Hall, Ithaca, NY, 14850-7013 before credit is granted.
